MI's Brilliant Bowling Caught CSK For a Low Score

Tonight’s match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings is nothing but wonder, with CSK failing very badly in batting.

MI bowlers showed their wrath against CSK batsmen, who all fell under 100 runs mark! And even though it catered to a simple target, Mumbai Indians too struggled to chase but did it anyway.

There’s no change in MI’s position after this win, but CSK slipped to the 9th spot again with a negative NRR. Here’s how it went;

MI Beat CSK By 5 Wickets

Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Mumbai Indians started striking from the very beginning. While Daniel Sams got the first three batsmen, Bumrah, Meredith, Karthikeya, and Ramandeep Singh got the rest for 97 runs. Although, the initial wicket of CSK – Devon Convoy’s sparked a controversy.

Daniel Sams got Convoy to an LBW at the very first ball, which was deemed to be a not-out. But when Convoy tried reviewing it, he was denied citing a power failure in the Wankhede stadium, which made the DRS system unavailable for a moment!

Yet, MI bowlers have been exceptional tonight, as they ran through the CSK batsmen in almost every over. Except for MS Dhoni (36*), none have crossed a 15-run mark even. But with a defending target of 98 runs, they didn’t lose hope.

CSK’s Mukesh Choudhary got Ishan Kishan early and Daniel Sams in his spell later. Though Rohit Sharma stood for a while, it’s the youngsters Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen who did the main job and reached the target mark. For his brilliant opening bowling of 4-0-16-3, MI’s Daniel Sams was awarded the man of the match.
