IPL 2022: MI vs KKR Probable Playing 11 and Dream 11 Predictions

Tonight at MCA Stadium, Pune we see Mumbai Indians locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 14th match of IPL 2022.

While Kolkata already has two wins in its bag, Mumbai is yet to achieve its initial win this season. Though MI has some of the best players in all categories, it somehow struggles to win and make its mark. But with the availability of Suryakumar Yadav, it may have some luck tonight.

Kolkata on the other hand gets even stronger with the arrival of Pat Cummins, who’s been busy playing with Pakistan all this time. Thus, with the availability of new players and revamped strategies, here’s how both the teams may look like, tonight;

MI vs KKR Probable Playing 11 for IPL 2022

  • Mumbai Indians
    Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Anmolpreet Singh/Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Daniel Sams, Murugan Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills, Basil Thampi.
  • Kolkata Knight Riders
    Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nitish Rana, Sam Billings (wk), Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee/Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy.

Though Basil Thampi has been performing poorly, Mumbai might give him another chance to prove himself. And since the MCA stadium favours bowlers mostly, it’s expected that MI might keep Murugan Ashwin and Tymal Mills.

KKR may replace Tim Southee with the likes of Pat Cummins, as the Australian pacer can help strengthen the middle-order batting. And like before, it may rely mostly on Umesh Yadav’s opening spell, Andre Russell’s power-hitting, and spin magics from Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.

MI vs KKR Dream 11 Predictions for IPL 2022

Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy.

Setting Ishan Kishan or Venkatesh Iyer as captain and Sunil Narine or Umesh Yadav as VC is recommended. You may also try Suryakumar Yadav or Varun Chakravarthy too.

Both the teams have faced 29 times each other in IPL, with Mumbai winning 22 of them and losing the rest to Kolkata.
