The former Indian all-rounder a key player of Chennai Super Kings in IPL, Suresh Raina has revealed why he left to India suddenly. He explained that his family back in Punjab was attacked by someone, where his uncle was killed and one of the two cousins died last night. He asked Punjab police to check into the matter.
My Uncle Was Killed and the Family Was Injured!
Suresh Raina has been a prominent player in both the Indian cricket team and the CSK side of IPL. Though he announced his retirement last month right after MS Dhoni’s, fans settled to a thought that he’d play at least the IPL this year. But, he was announced to be returned to India all in sudden citing personal reasons!
And now, he showed up on Twitter to explain the fans of his immediate return. He said that his uncle was killed brutally back in Punjab, and his aunt and cousins were injured badly. Unfortunately, one of the two cousins had died last night while fighting death, and his aunt is in a very critical position.
What happened to my family is Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my bua & both my cousins had sever injuries. Unfortunately my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days. My bua is still very very critical & is on life support.

Following this, he asked Punjab police to look into the matter and stop them from doing more crimes. The CSK team manager has confirmed that Suresh Raina won’t be playing this year’s IPL completely, which is scheduled to be held in UAE starting September 19th.
In the tweet, he wrote, “Till date, we don’t know what exactly had happened that night & who did this. I request @PunjabPoliceInd to look into this matter. We at least deserve to know who did this heinous act to them. Those criminals should not be spared to commit more crimes.”
