Windows 10 August Update Has More Issues Than Fixes

Since Microsoft introduced Windows 10, it’s made the OS official or non-officially accessible. Officially, you were no longer capable of downloading or upgrading your computer up to Windows 10 on July 29 on the 29th of July, 2016. Informally is still able to download an upgrade-related license to the operating system. And despite statements from Microsoft that it would absolutely-no-fooling-really-truly kill the Windows 10 free upgrade offer on December 31, 2017, that offer was still good even in 2021.

Microsoft’s initial attempt to convince users to switch to Windows 10 was marred by its increasingly hefty hand throughout the campaign until it was blamed for malware-related tactics and then acknowledged to have done the same.

It’s impossible to know the number of people who resisted the upgrade due to this reason in isolation; however, at the time, certain readers had stated that they were disgruntled by Microsoft’s actions and decided not to upgrade.

Many end-users have already switched to Windows 10 over the years; however, if you’re not, you have several legal alternatives. Any legally-issued copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8 that you’ve purchased previously can get upgraded to Windows 10.

Visit the Microsoft webpage to install Windows 10 on any legal machine, Windows 7 or Windows 8. You can choose to upgrade your PC and Microsoft will manage the update of your license for you with no hassle.

If you don’t have legal copies or a legal copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8, an option to download it for free is available. It is possible to download Windows 10 from Microsoft and install it on any computer you would like to.

It will always have updates and gaming capabilities, along with the OS being the same as the paid version or activated version.

An “Activate Windows” watermark is located in the upper right corner. There are two limitations on the version of Windows 10 that hasn’t been adequately activated:

  1. An “Activate Windows” watermark in the lower right-hand corner.
  2. It isn’t possible to personalize your desktop. However, you can set your wallpaper by simply clicking an image, but you’ll still be able to change the settings for your desktop’s magnification.

We don’t bother activating Windows 10 in testbeds as it is self-defeating and these are the only two limitations not starting Windows puts on the final user.

If you’re building a computer, making the most of every cent is essential. Windows 10 Home licenses are available on numerous websites starting at just $25. However, money has been challenging for several people over the past year.

If you don’t like having a mark on the desktop or require those options for personalization, you can still buy an authorized licensing on Windows 7 for as little as $13.50. This license can be upgraded into Windows 10 through the same process described in the previous paragraph, and you will get the $10-$12 extra
