The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for the 2023 NFL Draft, hoping to make an impact by revitalizing their roster and gaining essential draft capital. After coming tantalizingly close to lifting the Lombardi Trophy last season, the Eagles are determined to make their way back to the Super Bowl and secure a victory against whichever powerhouse emerges from the AFC.

To achieve this goal, the team must revamp both lines, acquire playmakers at skill positions, and add depth at linebacker and in the secondary. Despite trading away several Day 3 picks, the Eagles are expected to move down at least once or twice during the first round to obtain the necessary draft capital.

The Eagles have a history of success with trade-ups, ranking among the top six teams in total trade downs since 2011. This strategy allows them to accumulate extra ammunition and make bold moves when they truly believe in a player.

In the upcoming draft, the Eagles are said to be eyeing versatile and athletic blockers such as Peter Skoronski, a potential game-changing addition to their offensive line. Skoronski’s flexibility would add depth at offensive tackle and guard positions, providing much-needed insurance against injury-riddled seasons that can cripple a team’s success.

Another potential target for the Eagles is Jalen Carter, considered by many to be the best overall player in the draft. Carter’s addition to an already impressive interior defensive line would not only benefit the Eagles in 2023 but also set them up for future success with a formidable trio of Davis, Williams, and Carter.

As the draft approaches, the Eagles are also considering Georgia EDGE player Nolan Smith. With his recent momentum and top-30 visits, Smith is catching the attention of teams well inside the first round, including the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ultimately, the Eagles’ strategy in the 2023 NFL Draft will be crucial in determining their chances of returning to the Super Bowl and claiming the championship title they narrowly missed last season.
