Even though Bruce Banner has been one of the most physically powerful people running around in Marvel’s movies for years at this point, all of that is going to change this summer when his cousin Jennifer Walters makes her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney Plus.
Even though Bruce Banner and Betty Ross make cameos in the first trailer for She-Hulk, it’s clear that Jennifer is going to be the star of the show as she forges her own path to becoming a hero.
The character of Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, and Emil Blonsky/Annihilation, played by Tim Roth, both made their first appearances in The Incredible Hulk, which was the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Both characters return in this trailer. Jessica Gao is the mind behind She-Hulk, which Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has referred to as a “half-hour legal comedy.” She-Hulk was developed by Gao.
Tatiana Maslany will play the role of Jennifer Walters in the legal comedy that will air on Disney+ for nine episodes. Jennifer is the cousin of Bruce Banner and undergoes her own gamma green transformation following a blood transfusion.
Although Marvel Studios has presented a large number of CGI characters over the course of its history, the leading role in a story on Disney+ will be played by a motion-capture character for the very first time.
However, as if the whole “green” thing wasn’t enough, Walters has been given the responsibility of leading the newly established superhuman law division at her firm. Since Walters is a defense attorney in the comics, it makes sense that she would be seen in the courtroom defending a wide variety of superpowered individuals in the show.
