Britney Spears announced the loss of her unborn child.
After announcing her pregnancy last month, Spears, 40, has now revealed that she and partner Sam Asghari have lost their unborn child.
“It is with great sadness that we must announce the loss of our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” Britney and Sam wrote on May 14. “This is a difficult time for any parent.”
She captioned the post, “We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family.” Thank you for your help.”
The devastating news comes after a string of considerably more optimistic events in the popstar’s life. Following a lengthy battle, her conservatorship was dissolved in November 2021 at the recommendation of Judge Brenda Penny.
Last summer, the ‘Womanizer’ singer tried to get the 13-year conservatorship over her personal and financial affairs lifted.
During last year’s conservatorship hearings, Britney made a number of bombshell claims against her since-fired conservator, her father Jamie Spears.
Her father, Jamie, had been removed as guardian of her estate in September, the same month she announced her engagement to longtime lover Sam Asghari.
