Tonight’s fixture between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is no less interesting than that of India vs. Pakistan. These two Asian teams are gradually developing a rivalry between them, at least from the fans’ side – maybe for being equally competent.
Both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have lost their initial matches to Afghanistan in the tournament and are now left with only one chance to survive. The one that wins tonight wil be advancing into the Super 4, while the one who lost should be marched home.
Considering that, both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have to work on their batting line-ups. Though Sri Lanka has a handful of left-hand batters, it’s still struggling to pull both in the top and middle overs. Whereas for Bangladesh, it’s the same story even with experienced batters like Mushfiqur and Shakib in the team.
Well, they may make the order charges tonight to see a better result and hopefully find a reason to stay in the UAE for the tournament. Thus, here’s what the squads tonight may look like;

Heating up the rivalry, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka said, “Bangladesh is easier than Afghanistan. They don’t have any world-class bowlers except Shakib and Mustafizur” earlier today. To which Bangladesh’s Team Director responded, “at least we have 2 world-class bowlers. Sri Lanka has none”.
