Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Rinku Singh stole the show with an astonishing last-over display, hitting five consecutive sixes to snatch victory against Gujarat Titans in a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter. In celebration of this remarkable feat, Bollywood superstar and KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to share a photoshopped image of Rinku Singh as the protagonist of his film, “Pathaan.”
In his tweet, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!! My baby @rinkusingh235 And @NitishRana_27 & @venkateshiyer you beauties!!! And remember Believe that’s all. Congratulations @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore take care of your heart sir!”
The creative tribute also acknowledged the contributions of Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer in the match. Shah Rukh’s children, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, along with their friends Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, joined in the celebrations by lauding Rinku Singh’s performance on Instagram.
The official KKR Instagram account shared an old video of Shah Rukh Khan affectionately calling Rinku “mera bachcha” (my child) from a previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Shah Rukh Khan was present at KKR’s match against RCB earlier this week, accompanied by Juhi Chawla, Suhana, and Shanaya. A fan page of the actor shared a video of him performing a hook step from “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” waving and blowing kisses to his fans who chanted his name in unison.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan recently made a smashing comeback to the big screen with “Pathaan,” directed by Sidharth Anand. The film shattered box office records and attracted large audiences to theaters. The Bollywood icon will soon be seen in Atlee’s “Jawan” alongside actress Nayanthara, followed by Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki.”
