A slight change of the team and the captain didn’t work out for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, as they have lost their 6th match in this season already. Rajasthan Royals Jos Buttler made his maiden century and earned the man of the match, as he handed Rajasthan their 3rd win this season – a huge one as they moved to 5th place in the points table.
Buttler’s Beasty Batting of 124(64)
A big decision of changing the captain didn’t work out well for SRH, as they struggled even more today. Winning the toss and opting to bowl, they caught RR’s young opener Jaiswal in the third over, but that’s when RR’s innings took the pace. Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler smashed the ball to every corner they can, as they didn’t spare any SRH bowler.

They have added 150 runs to the second wicket, where Sanju Samson fell to a stunning catch by Abdul Samad. But, the hitting continued. Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, and David Miller steered the innings towards a massive 220 runs. Williamson not choosing David Warner into the squad at least and improperly using bowlers costed them in all ways.
With a target of 221, SRH fans had no hope on them as they’re having a weak middle lineup, which is important in such long chases. But, with confidence drawn from last night’s big chase, SRH started the innings with a bang. Openers Manish Pandey and Johnny Bairstow gave the start SRH hoped for.
But not long after this, SRH started crashing with the likes of Chris Morris and Mustafizur Rahman. None after the openers have stood long for big innings, as Rahman and Morris continued to choke the SRH batsmen. While the tailenders played some quick shots to entertain, it was only a matter of time on how much they can reduce the losing margin. And it finally ended at 165/8.
