Tonight’s match between MI vs KKR is nothing but an unimaginable drama. Though MI’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah choked KKR with his 5/10, MI still failed to chase a reasonable target! Here’s how it went;
KKR Beat MI by 52 Runs
Losing the toss and forced to bat first, KKR has finally made the desired start in this season. Openers Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane added 60 runs to the first wicket, making the first 50+ runs opening stand for KKR this season. After them, Nitish Rana and the rest had added a hundred more runs to put 165 runs on board.
While they maintained a strong 9+ run rate initially, MI bowlers showed their wrath in the second phase, especially with Jasprit Bumrah, who went on to mark his first 5-wicket haul. His astonishing figures of 4-1-10-5 earned his the player of the match award.

But with a beatable target of 166 runs, MI has still failed! They lost their skipper Rohit Sharma early and everyone by 17.3 overs. Except for Ishan Kishan (who too had struggled), none have crossed 20+ scores even. Almost every KKR bowler has been economical, with Pat Cummins picking up 3 wickets and Andre Russell with two.

With this loss, Mumbai Indians are confirmed to be out of the league. And for KKR, there’s still hope.
