The Indian Premier League (IPL) continues to astonish fans with its thrilling performances and intense rivalries. As the second week unfolds, four back-to-back last-ball thrillers have kept fans on the edge of their seats. Among these captivating matches, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) made history by defeating Chennai at the Chepauk stadium for the first time since 2008.

Sandeep Sharma’s incredible composure in the final over helped RR defend 20 runs, denying the iconic MS Dhoni the opportunity to finish the game in his trademark style. The RR spin trio of Ashwin, Chahal, and Zampa were instrumental in this victory, as was Jos Buttler’s impressive half-century.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live Show, praised Jos Buttler’s performance and declared the English opener as the world’s No. 1 batter. He lauded Buttler for his skillful use of the crease and excellent footwork against both pace and spin.

As the IPL shifts its focus to the North, the Punjab Kings host the Gujarat Titans, with Punjab skipper Shikhar Dhawan in the spotlight. Former India cricketer Mohammed Kaif hailed Dhawan as the ‘Khalifa’ of IPL, praising his leadership skills and in-form batting.

Kaif emphasized the importance of a strong bowling unit for a team’s success, and with Dhawan’s leadership, Punjab Kings’ chances of going far this season look promising. Additionally, former Australian all-rounder David Hussey praised Dhawan’s batting prowess, calling him a world-class batter.

As the IPL continues to unfold, fans can look forward to more exhilarating matches and breathtaking performances by these top cricketers.
