Yuzvendra Chahal playfully pulled Umran Malik’s leg after a recent IPL 2023 match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Royals emerged victorious, with Chahal registering impressive figures of 4/17, rocking the Sunrisers’ batting lineup. Malik, a promising young pacer, had previously mentioned he would hit Chahal for three sixes when they met, but failed to fulfill his promise.

A video shared by Rajasthan Royals on their social media accounts captured Chahal’s light-hearted jab at Malik. When a presenter asked, “You took four wickets yesterday, and it would have been five had Umran bhai not defended it. What would you like to tell him?”, Chahal responded, “Nothing much. I remember he told me whenever we meet, he’ll hit me for three sixes. But he didn’t…very bad!”

The Royals showcased their dominance in all aspects of the game, with half-centuries from skipper Sanju Samson, last year’s Orange Cap winner Jos Buttler, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Their combined efforts led the team to a massive 203/5, setting the stage for Chahal and his fellow bowlers to take charge.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, despite Malik’s noteworthy performance, couldn’t chase down the target, ultimately losing the match by a significant 72-run margin. Both teams will look to build on their respective performances as the IPL 2023 season unfolds.
