India’s campaign against Zimbabwe has ended as a thriller, with the hosts almost taking a win. A maiden century from India’s Shubman Gill and the defending knock from Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza were the highlights. Here’s how it went;
A Century on Both Sides
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, India made a fair start by adding 63 runs to the first wicket. Although openers Shikhar Dhawan and skipper KL Rahul walked out in a span of 5 overs, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan added a massive 140-run partnership to the 3rd wicket, which helped India to make a comfortable score of 289 runs in their 50 overs.
Gill, with his maiden ton (130 runs), and Ishan Kishan, with his 50 runs, stood out, while Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans took a 5-wicket haul.
For his stupendous knock of 130, @ShubmanGill is adjudged Player of the Match as India win by 13 runs.

And with a target of 290 runs, Zimbabwe lost one of their openers so early, while the other (Kaitano) and Sean Williams added 75 runs to the second wicket. Though the Indian spinners caught them well in time, the chase was later led by Sikandar Raza, along with Jongwe and Brad Evans, till the end.

Though Raza made a sensational knock of 115 runs in 95 balls, he too was trapped at the end, eventually. Soon after his departure, Zimbabwe winded up their total at 276, thereby losing the last ODI match too for India. With this, India clean swept the 3-match ODI series by 3-0.
That's that from the final ODI.
