A streak of losing all the matches played is something that no team wishes, but Mumbai Indians is, unfortunately, going through this phase in IPL 2022. Their star batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan are failing, while youngsters like Brevis and Tilak Varma are shining. They, alongside Suryakumar Yadav, are the only ones helping MI in tough conditions.
Yet, they failed to secure a win. And this is ultimately due to poor bowling performances! With the unavailability of Jofra Archer, MI’s whole blowing attack is led by Jasprit Bumrah, who isn’t getting the support he wanted either at the start or at the death overs.
Rajasthan Royals on the other hand is on cloud nine. The team’s both batting and bowling performances have been equally good, led by Jos Buttler, Padikkal, and Hetmyer in batting, and Prasidh, Boult, and Chahal in bowling. Though everything’s well and good, they’re still experimenting with Ashwin in No.3 batting, hoping he to shine and get a chance in the upcoming T20 world cup.
Whatever, it’s interesting to see how MI manages to break their losing streak, and RR topping the points table with another win. Hoping either of that happens in a grand way, here’s what tonight’s teams may look like;
