LaLiga giants are said to be interested in selling Ousmane Dembele next summer. The Frenchman has tested the patience of both the Blaugrana officials and supporters alike, and it’s just a matter of time before he embraces the exit door at the Nou Camp.

Dembele joined Barcelona in 2017 in a £120m transfer as a replacement for Neymar, who then joined Paris Saint Germain in a world record £200m move. However, the 22-year-old has failed to live up to the expectations of the Nou Camp faithful.

In 79 games over two years, Dembele has found the net only 19 times. His game time has been restricted due to disciplinary issues and constant injuries. Added to that, the increasing competition in Ernesto Valverde’s lineup has also affected his regular game time.

Barcelona wishes to sell Dembele if the right offer arrives, but are worried that they will have to bear a huge loss if the Frenchman’s abysmal performances continue. The Catalan giants are said to be holding him out for £85m.

Meanwhile, Dembele appears to be interested in staying put at the Nou Camp. The World Cup winner has already spurned the advances of Paris Saint Germain.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Juventus are all said to be interested in Dembele’s signature.

With the cash earned from Dembele’s transfer, Barcelona plan to launch a new attempt to sign Neymar from PSG and re-unite the famous MSN trio comprising him, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a fervent admirer of the Frenchman, which itself puts the Merseysiders in the pole position to land his signature. Back in 2018, when Dembele was about to be sold by Borussia Dortmund, he said.

“Is he on the market? Now I’m interested.”

It remains to be seen which club actually manages to sign Ousmane Dembele in the coming days.
