The Denver Nuggets were very much improved in the 2016-2017 season. They were close to making the playoffs in the western conference and Denver knows it will be tougher to get this year, but they have the roster to make the playoffs.
Denver beat Golden State once last season in the regular season, but they were competitive in all three meetings. The Nuggets might be in the toughest division in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz.
Oklahoma City and Minnesota improved big time in the offseason. Denver will probably finish third in the division. The Nuggets will either be a 6, 7, or 8 seed in the west or just miss the playoffs once again. Michael Malone is the head coach of the Denver Nuggets.
Projected Starting Lineup: (C) Nikola Jokic (PF) Paul Millsap (SF) Wilson Chandler (SG) Gary Harris (PG) Emmanuel Mudiay
Key players off the bench: (G/F) Will Barton, (F) Kenneth Faried, (F) Trey Lyles, (G) Jamal Murray, and (C/F) Mason Plumlee.
This team could be very exciting to watch this season. Jokic broke out this season and he is looking to take his game to another level. Whenever Harris and Murray are on the floor together, they could light it up from downtown. If Denver gets the right match up in the postseason, they could pull of an upset.
