Here's Why Cristiano Ronaldo's Son Has Died

Cristiano Ronaldo's baby boy has passed away.

The legendary footballer took to social media to announce his twin son's passing. In a statement from both him and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, the 37-year-old explained his baby's passing 'is the greatest pain that any parents can feel'.

The post states: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. "Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. "We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support."

Rodriguez and Ronaldo publicly announced they were expecting twins on 28 October, 2021. Rodriquez was around three months pregnant at the time, with her due date anticipated as being in the spring of 2022. The pair already have four children together, however Rodriquez is only the biological mother to one of them. Two of the children are twins.

Rodriguez and Ronaldo are reported as having been together since 2016. Rodriguez previously worked in Gucci, however because of the fame she gained from dating Ronaldo, she gave up her role and became a model. After Ronaldo signed with Manchester United, the family uprooted and moved to the UK.
