Redskins Force Seahawks Luck to run Out

With 1:24 remaining in regulation, Kirk Cousins (21-of-31 for 247 passing yards) made a beautiful throw to Josh Doctson (59 receiving yards on three receptions) down the left sideline for a 38-yard gain. Washington would be inside the one-yard line and on the next play, Rob Kelley scored a touchdown with 1:02 remaining to lift the Redskins to a 17-14 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

In the first quarter, Bobby Wagner sacked Kirk Cousins in the end zone for a safety. In the second quarter, Rob Kelley scored on a 2-yard touchdown run. Kelley finished with 18 rushing yards on 14 attempts and two touchdowns.

With the Seahawks trailing 10-2 in the fourth, Russell Wilson threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Luke Wilson. Seattle failed on the two-point conversion and Washington almost took it back for two. Later in the fourth, Wilson threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin. Wilson completed 24-of-45 passes for 297 yards two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 77 yards on 10 carries. Baldwin finished with 108 receiving yards on seven receptions and a touchdown. Seattle failed on the two-point conversion as well.

Blair Walsh missed three field goals today for the Seahawks. Seattle snaps its four game losing streak and they have been very lucky during it none the less and there luck ran out today.  The Redskins will host the Minnesota Vikings (6-2) next Sunday and the Seattle Seahawks will travel to face the Arizona Cardinals (4-4) on Thursday Night.
