Kansas City Chiefs Get Back in Win Column Against Oakland Raiders


With the Kansas City Chiefs feeling the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers climbing up the ladder in the AFC West standings, the Chiefs needed a win in the worst way. Kansas City dominated early and often in a 26-15 win over the Oakland Raiders.

With the Chiefs up 3-0 in the second-quarter, Kareem Hunt scored on a 1-yard touchdown run. Hunt finished with 116 yards rushing on 25 carries and a score. He also caught three passes for 22 yards receiving. Harrison Butker made four field goals for the Chiefs (53, 29, 33, and 40 yards). Charcandrick West scored on a 13-yard touchdown run in the fourth for the Chiefs. West finished with 25 rushing yards on three carries and a score.

Marshawn Lynch scored on a 22-yard touchdown run for the Raiders in the fourth and Jared Cook scored on a 29-yard touchdown reception from Derek Carr (2-point conversion Michael Crabtree from Derek Carr). Lynch finished with 61 yards rushing on seven carries and a touchdown. Cook finished with 75 yards receiving on five catches and a score. Carr completed 24-of-41 passes for 211 yards one touchdown and two interceptions.

Alex Smith completed 20-of-34 passes for 268 yards and an interception. Tyreek Hill had four receptions for 75 yards and Travis Kelce had seven receptions for 74 yards. The Raiders will host the Dallas Cowboys (7-6) next Sunday Night and the Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers (6-6) next Saturday Night.
