Flyers Stay Hot in Overtime Win

Ivan Provorov passed the puck to Travis Konency in the 3-on-3 overtime and Konency skated up the middle of the ice and scored just 29 seconds into overtime as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Washington Capitals 2-1 on Sunday Afternoon in Washington D.C. The Flyers have won their past 15 out of 21 games ever since going on a 10-game losing streak.

The Flyers are currently back in a playoff spot at the moment and the Pittsburgh Penguins are currently on the outside looking in. Michael Raffl scored a goal for the Flyers in the second period and Alex Ovechkin scored a power-play goal for the Capitals with only 16 seconds remaining in the second period.

Brian Elliott made 27 saves for the Flyers. Braden Holtby made 21 saves for the Capitals. These two teams will play each other two more times this season.
