The Super Giants posted an imposing total of 257/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Marcus Stoinis led the charge with a blistering 72 off 40 balls, including six fours and five sixes. Contributions from Kyle Mayers (54 off 24), Ayush Badoni (43 off 24), and Nicholas Pooran (45 off 19) bolstered the LSG innings.
Kagiso Rabada emerged as the most successful bowler for PBKS, claiming two wickets for 52 runs in his four overs. Arshdeep Singh, Sam Curran, and Liam Livingstone also picked up a wicket each.
Chasing a daunting target of 258, Punjab Kings fell short, managing only 201 all out in 19.5 overs. Atharva Taide top-scored with a valiant 66 off 36 balls, while Sikandar Raza contributed a quickfire 36 off 22. However, their efforts were not enough to reach the finishing line.
Yash Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for LSG, finishing with impressive figures of 4/37 in his 3.5 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq also played a crucial role, taking three key wickets for 30 runs. Ravi Bishnoi and Marcus Stoinis added two and one wicket(s), respectively.
