Rajasthan Royals took the revenge for their first loss against RCB in tonight’s match, with a margin of 29 runs. With this win, Rajasthan shoots up to the top of the points table, while making it harder for RCB to their playoffs. Here’s how it went;
RR Beat RCB By 29 Runs
Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, RCB’s Siraj made a good start by sending Devdutt Padikkal and Ravichandran Ashwin in his back-to-back spells. Soon, the dangerous Jos Buttler was sent back too by Josh Hazelwood. As they’re breathing well after scalping initial wickets, RR skipper Sanju Samson blasted with some boundaries and tried directing his team towards a big score.

But he too eventually surrendered, and the same is followed by Shimron Hetmyer and Daryl Mitchell! But, Riyan Parag stood up with an unbeaten 56* till the end and helped RR post a respectable total finally.
While a target of 145 seemed like a walk on the cake for RCB, they too started from the beginning, and continued till the end! None have made a 30+ score and gave hope for a win. Even the reliable middle-order batsmen like Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik too have fallen short, eventually winding up to a total of 115 in 19.3 overs.

RR’s Kuldeep Sen and Ravi Ashwin have been exceptional, while RCB’s Josh Hazelwood has been good from their side. And with a match-saving knock of 56*, Riyan Parag was awarded the player of the match title.
