The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a slow start in the 2017-2018 season, but recently Cleveland has won 10 straight games in no small part because of Lebron James. He is averaging 28 PPG 8.2 RPG 8.5 APG 1.2 BPG and 1.3 SPG so far this season. Those are MVP caliber numbers. He has been doing this with a pedestrian lineup most of the time.

The Cleveland Cavaliers don’t have Kyrie Irving anymore. Derrick Rose may not even return to the Cleveland Cavaliers or play another game in his NBA career because he has taken so many injuries in his career and it has taken a toll on him mentally. He was averaging 14.3 PPG 2.6 RPG and 1.7 APG.

Isaiah Thomas will probably return from his hip injury either this month or a little bit after that. Tyronn Lue has put Jose Calderon at the point guard position for now and it was one of his smarter moves. Kevin Love is averaging 19 PPG and 10.3 RPG so far this season.

Kyle Korver is averaging 10.5 PPG off the bench. Jeff Green has been an x-factor for the Cavaliers so far this season. He is averaging 10.1 PPG 3.2 RPG and 1.6 APG. Green is also a very good defender.

Dwyane Wade is averaging 11.1 PPG 3.9 RPG and 3.9 APG off the bench. He is playing valuable minutes off the bench. Jae Crowder is averaging 8.8 PPG and 3.3 RPG.

Tristan Thompson has been out for the Cavaliers for a while with an injury and I think they should trade him for either Demarcus Cousins or DeAndre Jordan. The odds are it would be more likely to get DeAndre Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers than Demarcus Cousins from the New Orleans Pelicans is because the 8-12 Clippers are quickly sinking in the west. Blake Griffin will be out for a while for them. Jordan might want to get out of there.

As for the Pelicans, their record is 11-10 and they currently hold the seventh spot in the west and I think they will continue to win ball games. As for the Cleveland Cavaliers, their record is 15-7 and currently hold the third spot in the east.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are third in the NBA with scoring 111.2 points per game. Cleveland is ranked 25th in the NBA on team defense with giving up 108.8 points per game. The defense doesn’t look as slow lately, but they continue to give up points in transition. Cleveland continues to win high scoring games like 121-114 last night against the Atlanta Hawks on the road.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have 14 games this month including one on Christmas Day on the road against the Golden State Warriors.
