IPL 2020

The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will no longer begin on March 29. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has postponed the tournament till April 15, due to the threat of Coronavirus. The first IPL was to begin on March 29 with the match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), to be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Now the IPL will not start till April 15.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to reschedule the IPL. Earlier, the Delhi government had ruled not to allow IPL matches to be held in the city in view of the Kovid-19 (coronavirus) epidemic. “The Board of Control for Cricket in India has postponed the IPL till April 15, 2020, given the current situation,” the BCCI press release said.
